State Farm co-sponsored the event with other big corporations to help out the weekend long event in the Omni CNN Center.

“Since Georgia has the highest number of high school drop outs and third highest prostitution rates among teenage girls, GWRTW is designed to offer these girls the life skills needed to overcome teenage obstacles and establish a path to success,” Marjorie Harvey, President of The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, says.
GWRTW speakers and workshops focused on increasing self-reliance and high esteem. Speakers and leaders included Rosalind Brewer (Executive Vice President, Wal-Mart U.S. and President, Wal-Mart Stores South), Brenda Freeman (Chief Marketing Officer, Turner Broadcasting) and singer/songwriter and former TLC manager Perri “Pebbles” Reid. Topics included the importance of making healthy decisions, professional etiquette, appropriate dress, and even making the right sexual choices that decrease health risks.
